Test drives have started on the T2 tram line, which is the project of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality that will bring the rail system together with the north of the city.

The City Square-Terminal tram line, designed by the Metropolitan Municipality in line with the goal of covering the city with iron nets, has now come to an end. With the integration of the T9 line, which has a total length of 445 meters and 11 stations, to the T2 line, while the Sculpture - Terminal was connected to each other with rails, the gauge test was carried out on the line. The test wagon departing from the Tramway Maintenance Center in Kültürpark in the morning; It completed its normal course on Stadium Street, Altiparmak, Statue, İnönü and Uluyol Streets and entered the new line at the Kent Meydani stop. While the tram was moving at a speed of 1 kilometers per hour due to instant measurements and controls on the line, security measures were taken by the traffic teams at the road crossings. Especially when making precise measurements at the entrance and exit of the stops; The first test run on the T5 line was completed with the tram reaching the terminal without any problems. While there was no problem on the departure route, the teams carried out the test drive for the return route with the same meticulousness.

It was noted that the passenger flights on the T2 line, which the people of Bursa have been waiting for a long time, will start after the successful completion of all test drives.
