Samulaş Trams Set A Record By Carrying 1 thousand 98 Passengers In 352 Day

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality SAMULAŞ A.Ş. Trams managed by Trams broke the passenger record last Friday. 1 thousand 98 passengers were transported in 352 day. Grand Mayor Mustafa Demir said, "We are making an intense effort for a more smooth and reliable transportation."

Trams, which have been serving in Samsun for about 13 years, carried the highest number of passengers on Friday, May 20, since the day they were established. Serving 1 thousand 98 passengers in 352 day, SAMULAŞ A.Ş. made 65 trips with 28 trains and 311 trams. The stops with the highest density were Türk-İş and Cumhuriyet Square.

SAMULAS INC. General Manager Gökhan Beler said, “Tramways continue to provide quality and comfortable transportation services to Samsun residents. The record number of passengers seen in our public transport vehicles on Friday also shows the satisfaction of our people at the service point. With the planning we made, we reached the maximum number of passengers and responded to the density without any problems. SAMULAŞ is the rail system that carries the highest number of passengers per vehicle in Turkey. This is actually an indication that public resources are used efficiently.”
