RISFinance Summit '22 Rail Systems Finance Summit will be held simultaneously with the "Rail Industry Show" fair, on May 10-12, 2022 at the ETO-TUYAP Congress and Fair Center in Eskişehir. The event, which will be held with the participation of 46 speakers consisting of local and foreign sector representatives, academics, finance and public institution officials, is a platform that will bring all stakeholders of the subject together. Financing of rail systems and various models that can be applied in this field will be discussed at the summit, which will last for three days.
RISFinance Summit '10, which will start on May 22, has been prepared with a program that includes information and real solution offers that will answer the current questions of domestic and foreign players who want to take part in this important market. Infrastructure investments, financing models, project finance, the needs of the rail systems industry, sustainable investments in rail systems and infrastructure services, and new technologies that increase efficiency will be discussed at the summit. In addition, during the summit, one-on-one meetings will be organized for cooperation in line with the demands of the participants.
The first panel at the summit is titled “Strategies for Private Sector Financing of Rail Systems Infrastructure Projects”. Özgür Soy, General Manager of Metro Istanbul, will moderate the panel. İBB Finans Deputy Secretary General Legal Advisor Lawyer Hande Kayacık, Elmadağ Attorneyship and Consultancy Co-Founder Lawyer Dr. Ramazan Arıtürk, Consultant Serhat İnanç and Garanti BBVA Infrastructure Investments Director Bartu Altan will be the speakers at the panel, and the topic "How to Apply Different Financing Models in Rail Systems Investments" will be discussed.
Topics Featured at the Summit
One of the highlights at the summit will be the new metro lines projects carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Regarding the subject, Serdar Küçük, Coordinator of the IMM Rail Systems Department, will make a speech and will announce the metro lines to be opened in 2023 for the first time at this summit.
Representatives of various financial institutions will be present at the summit. Şevket Taşdemir, Head of International Relations Department of İller Bank, “Financing of Sustainable Urban Mobility Projects of Local Governments”; Standard Chartered General Manager and Head of European Operations Yoshi Ichikawa will talk about "Financing Turkish Railway Projects with Credits Supported by Export Credit Institutions"; French Development Agency (AFD) Country Director Tanguy Denieult will talk about "AFD Financing in Turkey".
Elie El Hayek, Regional PEF Business Partner from Alstom, one of the world's giants in transportation, will deliver a speech titled “Finding the Right Balance Between Localization and Off-Shore Content and Financing Infrastructure Projects with Competitive Long-Term Export Credit Institution Credits”.
Investment Advisor Erk Özbelge will give a speech on “How to Implement Public Private Partnership in Rail Systems Investments”.
At the summit, IMM Finance Branch Manager Dr. Rezzan Neslihan Vural will be at the summit on "Financing Stages in the Rail Systems Sector".
Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Karaşahin, as an academician, will also attend with a speech on “The Impact of Railway Projects on Sustainability”.
The summit will continue for three days with the speeches of local and foreign sector representatives, academicians, finance and public institution officials on various topics.
