President Erdoğan announced that the “National Space Program Strategy Document” covering the years 2022-2030 has been prepared by the Turkish Space Agency in order to carry out the vision, strategy, goals and projects of Turkey in the field of space policies in a coordinated and integrated manner.
Regarding the National Space Program Strategy Document published in the Official Gazette, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the space industry has developed rapidly and has become an area that touches the lives of all people and creates value.
Pointing out that ensuring independence in access and use of space, strengthening the space ecosystem, developing opportunities for the use of space for the benefit of society, getting more and more shares in the global space market, and developing international cooperation opportunities that support the peaceful use of space, President Erdoğan said that the space strategy should be efficient, safe and secure. He emphasized that it is of great importance for Turkey to carry out its sustainable implementation.
President Erdoğan stated that space studies, which focus on launch, remote sensing satellites, satellite-based positioning and timing systems, space sciences, reconnaissance and manned space missions, communication satellites and space security, contribute to the country's technology and economy by providing efficiency and employment not only in the field of space but also in all sectors affected. pointed to it.
Stating that the space policies of the states are provided by the space programs prepared by the agencies in order to make this contribution more systematic and planned, President Erdoğan said:
