İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Fisheries Market Department brought together the magical world of sea creatures in a story book. The books, which are distributed free of charge for children, also include coloring, puzzles and stories.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has published a story book called "A Day Under the Sea" in order to popularize fish and increase children's interest in sea creatures. The book began to be distributed in Fairy Tale Houses and primary schools established by the Metropolitan Municipality.
Pointing out that the habit of reading has started to decrease with the rapid development in the digital world, Metropolitan Municipality Fisheries Market Branch Manager Murat Polat said, “By reading, we discover our world, our history and ourselves. We aimed to make our children love fish, to create the right palate at younger ages, and to have fun and learn these unique sea creatures.”
In addition to the stories of sea creatures, the book, published by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Fisheries Market, includes recipes for fish dishes, hook puzzles, maze puzzles, and sea creature painting activities. The book, which is delivered to children free of charge, appeals to primary school students.
