Izocam Sailing Team, sailing the seas with the motto "Izocam is behind sustainable futures", continues to take the awards home. The successful team finished the fifth leg of the BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy with 2nd place.
Izocam Sailing Team, sailing the seas to draw attention to global climate change, the importance of sustainability and the right to a good life, continues to take home the awards at the Schüco BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy organized by Bodrum Offshore Sailing Club (BAYK). Sailing with the motto "Izocam is behind the sustainable future", the team includes professional racers as well as Izocam employees who received basic sailing training from the Sailmaster team.
The fifth leg of the trophy, which consists of seven stages and covers two days in each leg, took place on 9-10 April 2022. In the fifth leg of the BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy, members of Izocam's senior management participated in the race. Senior management representatives will continue to act together with the team in different races. In the races in which approximately 28 athletes from different provinces participated in 250 boats; Izocam Sailing Team took the 2nd place on the first day in the IRC-B class and took the podium. Izocam Sailing Team will take part in 2022 trophies and 3 races in total, including BAYK Bodrum Winter Trophy, MIYC Marmaris Winter Trophy and Bosphorous Cup, throughout 30.
Mustafa Rüştü Uz, Technical Support and Product Management Coordinator of İzocam, who took part in the İzocam Sailing Team in the 9-10 April races, touched upon the issue of ensuring the safety of the boats as well as providing the pleasure of the race:

Uz stated that Izocam Rockwool Ship Board, which is used for heat, sound insulation and fire safety in ship and maritime construction, cofferdam walls, fire compartments, fire doors and ship interior installations, provides heat, sound and fire insulation in places with very high temperatures thanks to its non-flammability feature. Izocam Rockwool Ship Board can be covered with a sheet metal coating after being attached to the smooth surfaces to be applied with fixing pins, or it can be applied by placing it between the carrier frame to be formed on the surface. Plates with four different features, Marine Firebatts 45 (MF 45), Marine Firebatts 110 (MF 110), Marine Firebatts 140 (MF 140), Marine Slab 150 (MS 150), are used in MF 45 ship interior installation, MF 110 and MF 140 is used in bulkhead applications, MS 150 is used in ship floating floor applications”.
Mustafa Rüştü Uz stated that Izocam Rockwool Ship Mattress, which stands out with its fireproof feature as well as its high insulation feature, is used in ship and marine construction, cofferdam walls, fire compartments, fire doors and ship interior installations for heat, sound insulation and fire safety. , said that after being cut to a suitable size, it was wrapped on the surface to be insulated and the joints were sewn by passing it through a carrier rabitz wire with galvanized wire. Uz added that Izocam Rockwool Ship Mattress has been produced in two different features, Marine Firebatts 32 (MF 32) and Marine Wired Mat 80 (MWM 80).
