The Turkish leg of the Wings for Life World Run 8, which will be held simultaneously in eight countries on Sunday, May 2022, in order to fund research on the treatment of spinal cord paralysis, will be run for the fifth time in İzmir. All of the income from the race, which was organized with the support of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will be used in research for the permanent treatment of spinal cord paralysis. The presentation of the race, which will start at 14.00, was made with a press conference held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory.

Wings for Life World Run will start at 14.00:15 at Kulturpark. In the race where there is no finish line, the runners will try not to be caught by the Catch Vehicle, which will set off at a speed of 35 kilometers half an hour after the start of the race. The vehicle, whose speed increases every half hour, will reach a maximum speed of XNUMX km / h. The last male and female competitor behind the catch vehicle will be the winner. The male and female competitor who manages to continue the race for the longest time, which will start at the same time in different parts of the world, will be the world champion.
