Istanbul 19 May Events

May 19 will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Istanbul this year. Maltepe Athletics Track opens with festivities. There will be cortege, band and colorful sports competitions at the opening where sports clubs and young people will participate. Maltepe Event Area, the main meeting point of the celebrations, will host colorful activities throughout the day. Concerts of Deniz Tekin, Nova Norda, Redd, Kabus Kerim from Cartel, Erci'E and Batuflex and Murat Boz will increase the enthusiasm of the holiday. The magnificent May 19 Show, where dance, video mapping and drone shows are blended, will fascinate the audience. Istanbulites, in activities that will last all day; virtual reality, football, darts, dance, snowboard, skate park, zumba, playstation and mixibike activities will spend a day full of pleasure. The sounds of music will continue to resonate for 4 days during the festival, where all Istanbulites are invited. IMM will give quota-free internet to 19 million Istanbul residents to increase the joy of May 5th. Public transportation is free during the holidays. IETT will organize additional flights to reach the event areas.

May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, will be celebrated with the enthusiasm longed for in Istanbul this year. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) will increase the excitement of the holiday with programs to be organized all over the city.

ATHLETICS ROUTE IS OPENING WITH FESTIVALS

IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluMaltepe Athletics Track, one of the election promises of , opens on 19 May. The activities, which will start with the cortege march of the young people, will continue with the performance of the marching band.

IBBSK, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Şarık, Sancaktepe and Momentum sports clubs will attend the opening.

In the program where special competitions for the opening program will also be held; 400 m, 4 × 100 m and 100 m men's hurdles will be held. The long jump for men, shot put for women and the competitions of special athletes (with Down Syndrome) will give the audience an exciting day.

WE ARE MEETING AT MALTEPE EVENT AREA 

Colorful programs were organized in Maltepe Event Area, the other meeting place for holiday celebrations. Deniz Tekin, Nova Norda, Redd, Kabus Kerim from Cartel, Erci'E and Batuflex are meeting with Istanbulites. The special May 19 Show, where dance, video mapping and drone shows are blended, will enchant the audience. All Istanbul residents are invited to the Murat Boz concert, which will start at 21.30.

The programs at the Maltepe event area will continue all day. IMM Youth and Sports Directorate and Sports Istanbul created various activity areas for visitors. The VR cycling space (virtual reality cycling) will give you unforgettable moments. The areas of football, darts, dance, snowboarding, skateboarding, zumba, playstation, mixibike and graffiti will also provide Istanbulites with a joyful day.

The festivities in Maltepe City Park will continue between 22-25 May.

HOLIDAY GIFT FROM IMM

IMM is presenting technology to the people of Istanbul for the 19th of May. IMM, which provides 9 GB free daily internet service to a total of 5 million people at 1 thousand access points in Istanbul, removes the quotas on Eid day. Millions of Istanbul residents will be able to enjoy unlimited internet.

TRANSPORTATION ON MAY 19

IETT organizes additional flights to facilitate the transportation of Istanbul residents to the Maltepe Event area. While serving on the Anatolian side with the following lines; Integrated bus lines will be installed from the European side to Metrobus and Marmaray. All public transportation vehicles will serve free of charge during the holiday.
