Making a speech in the working group on the first day of the meeting, TCDD Tasimacilik AŞ Deputy General Manager Çetin Altun stated that they are very happy to host the guests from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in our country, and stated that the "Trans-Caspian International Transport Route International Association" is in Ankara. Because the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, starting from Southeast Asia and China, stands out in the competition as the shortest, fastest and most suitable route in terms of climate for transports to Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and then Turkey and other European countries. he said.

Altun also stated that there is still important work to be done within the framework of the vision and mission of the TITR Union, and the efforts to increase the share of the railway sector among the logistics transports, which are the billions of dollars of trade between Asia and Europe, most of which are carried out by sea, and as a result, to increase the economic and cultural cooperation between the countries continue. he said he did.

Altun said, “We have achieved significant successes so far. We have ensured that the cargo reaches Europe from China in 18 days. We transported approximately 1 million tons of cargo from the Middle Corridor and BTK Railway Line together. We identified the bottlenecks that prevented us during these transportations and implemented many administrative and technical measures. None of us has any doubt that we will implement the concrete proposals that we will discuss today and that we will easily overcome the bottlenecks we face. Because we all have enough will to make the Middle Corridor one of the most important trade routes in the world, we believe in it and we want it.” made its assessment.
