Ankara University took its place in TEKNOFEST, the Aviation, Space and Technology festival held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with the slogan “One nation, two states, one festival”.
TEKNOFEST, organized in Baku Crystal Hall and Seaside Boulevard National Park, with the support of Turkey's Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Industry and Technology, with the support of the country's important institutions and companies, attended TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan, from Turkey. Ankara University also attended along with many other universities. Ankara University stand hosted many visitors from both Turkey and Azerbaijan since the beginning of the festival. Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar and the TEKNOFEST team told the visitors about the university and its activities.
Rector Ünüvar said that TEKNOFEST is a very important festival that encourages young people in the age of technology especially towards science, technology, production, makes them love technology, and shows what can be done to the country and humanity with technological production.
Noting that TEKNOFEST, which has been held in Turkey for years, was held in Azerbaijan for the first time this year, Ünüvar said, “TEKNOFEST is a festival with a high brand value. Bringing together technology, information and entertainment; It is an event that brings together the three elements that young people love the most”.
Stating that there is a great atmosphere in the TEKNOFEST area in Baku, Ünüvar said, “The sparkle and excitement in people's eyes is extraordinary. Both those who open stands present themselves intensively, they share their beauties with the public with humanity, and they experience the happiness of this, and those who visit this place become aware of new developments. A meeting point. It is the point where those who serve humanity and those who want service meet. Chirpy everywhere. It's a very nice organisation. I sincerely congratulate both the 3T Foundation and the Azerbaijani side.”
Expressing that they are very happy to take part in TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan as Ankara University, Ünüvar continued as follows:
“Ankara University is very interested in every corner of the world, but especially in the Turkish world. There is an intense relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey like flesh and nails. As he finds himself in the succinct expression 'one nation, two states'; We are two independent countries born of the same religion, same language, same culture, but our world of heart is one. We are here too, and as Ankara University, we are very happy to be a part of that world of heart. I would also like to express that we are very happy to be a part of TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan. We have a very heavy visitor traffic. Those who come, those who go. They want to see and hear what Ankara University is doing. We are also very happy to be here.”
In TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan, which was held with the participation of President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, the winners of the competitions were given their awards by Erdoğan and Aliyev.
After their speeches, Erdoğan and Aliyev visited the stands in the field together and received information about the aircraft on display.
While Azerbaijan Air Force, Turkish Stars and Solo Turkish team held an aerobatic show at the festival, the crescent and star of the Turkish flag were drawn in the skies of Baku.
