Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerA feast of music took place at the Izmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival, which was held for the first time this year in line with the vision of making Izmir a city of culture and art. Minister Tunç Soyer also attended the concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center on the last day of the festival.

İzmir Polyphonic Choirs Festival, organized for the first time this year with the motto of “Izmir is again so many colors, so many voices, so many breaths” in cooperation with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Polyphonic Choirs Association, ended with a concert at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer was among those who listened to the concert.

It brought together 75 different choirs with the people of Izmir.

The festival, which started on May 11, brought together 75 different choirs and 2 choirists from cities such as Thrace, Ankara, Istanbul, Ankara and Kahramanmaraş, established by schools, associations and municipalities, in Izmir. Within the scope of the festival, which was organized to spread polyphonic choral music in Turkey, the artists performed beautiful Turkish folk pieces as well as classical pieces. In addition to free hall concerts, the choirists met with music lovers with street concerts in areas such as in front of the Alsancak Ferry Pier, Cyprus Martyrs Street, and Historical Elevator.
