Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality officials stated that the mask obligation in public transportation continues, and that the rule should be followed in order to avoid problems, especially for elderly and chronically ill citizens.

Mandatory mask use, which started with the first coronavirus case in Turkey on March 11, 2020, was ended with the Coronavirus Scientific Committee Meeting.

Authorities emphasized that some citizens also stopped using masks in public transportation regarding the removal of mask use in closed areas, and that the ongoing rule should be followed in order not to put the elderly and citizens with chronic health problems into a difficult situation.

Estram officials also warned the citizens by hanging warning posters on the trams about the continuity of the use of masks.
