It was decided by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to automatically update the boarding fees in public transportation at the rate of the Producer Price Index (PPI). However, there has been another hike in public transportation. According to the new tariff, the full ticket was 7 liras and 10 cents, while the student was 2 liras and 40 cents. By the way, the first transfer fee in 120 minutes was 1,31 TL and the second transfer fee was 98 kuruş.

The student boarding fee was also increased from 2,20 TL to 2,40 TL. Teacher and age 60 boarding fee was increased from 5,60 TL to 6,11 TL. The practice of exemption from transfer fees for students, teachers and 60-year-old cards within 120 minutes after the first boarding will continue. With the new tariff, the blockage fee applied in İZBAN has increased up to 25 TL. Accordingly, those who will take the train from İZBAN's first stop, Aliağa or Selçuk, must have a balance of at least 25 lira on their card.

In accordance with the decision of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), the full boarding fee, which was 6,50 TL within the scope of Tariff A, was increased to 7,10 TL. The first transfer fee in 120 minutes was determined as 1,31 TL, and the second transfer fee was determined as 98 kuruş. The practice of not being charged for the third and subsequent transfers within 120 minutes after the first boarding will continue.

In March, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council decided to increase water and transportation fees by the Producer Price Index (PPI) rate every month.

With the new decision, the PPI hike was applied for the first time this month to ESHOT, İZULAŞ, İZDENİZ, Metro-Tramvay and İZBAN and ESHOT-controlled İZTAŞIT vehicles operated in partnership with TCDD-Metropolitan. The new tariff, which is planned to be effective as of May 1, 2022, started to be applied on Thursday, May 1, due to the succession of May 5, Labor Day and Ramadan Feast.
