He was born on January 22, 1972 in Ankara, originally from Afşin, Kahramanmaraş. Son of Aşık İsmail İpek. After graduating from Ankara High School, she studied Theater at Bilkent University. After watching a play at the Ankara Art Theater in 1990, he wanted to be there and succeeded. He is still on the management team today. She took part in many successful productions such as Dairy Philosopher Istanbul, Rich Girl Poor Boy, Kınalı Snow and Farewell Rumeli. As of 2017, he has been included in the team of Güldür Güldür team. Mahir İpek married Veda Yurtsever in 1998, and the couple's children, named İpek, were born in 2003. The couple divorced in 2018.
