Cancer, which is 90 percent due to environmental and 10 percent to genetic factors, is called a disease that results from the irregular proliferation of cells in an organ or tissue. While early diagnosis saves lives, stem cell applications are promising in treatment, especially in the treatment of cancer types such as leukemia, lymphoma and thalassemia. Cord blood, a rich source of stem cells, is becoming important for these treatments.
