The Black Sea club's first place in the Spor Toto Super League 2021-2022 season was celebrated with enthusiasm in Istanbul as well as in Trabzon, the homeland of the team. The fans of the club, who took part in the construction of Akkuyu, Turkey's first nuclear power plant, where thousands of Black Sea residents work, also shared this enthusiasm.
Between shifts, hundreds of workers, with the permission of the construction management, unfurled a large Trabzonspor banner on the field, waving flags, cheering, singing anthems and dancing in support of their club. The construction area took on Bordeaux-Blue, the colors of the Trabzonspor team, for a short time.

Sergey Butckikh said in a statement; “Congratulations to the Trabzonspor club and all its fans, congratulations on the long-awaited championship! Today, a great friendly team of Akkuyu NPP builders congratulate Turkey's strongest football team. Dear builders, we are one big family. It is a pleasure for all of us to share the joy of the championship on the NGS field of a famous and beloved football club!” said.
Sergey Butckikh presented the workers with a ball signed by the players of the champion Trabzonspor team, which was specially delivered to the field, so that every fan could feel the championship spirit.
After many years, Trabzonspor drew 30-2022 with Antalyaspor on April 2, 2 and declared the championship three weeks before the end of the season.
