A Vocational Education Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Ministry of National Education and Yıldız Technical University.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, who attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol held at Yıldız Technical University Maçka Campus, stated that vocational and technical education is one of the most important issues they prioritize as the Ministry.

Özer stated that they started a mobilization to train the human resource sought by the labor market in a fast and qualified manner with this priority definition since the day they took office, and continued: We have created such a framework of cooperation that we are now updating the curriculum in all areas where we provide vocational training together with the representatives of the labor market. We enable our students to acquire their skills training in real business environments in the businesses within the scope of that cooperation. On the other hand, we plan together the on-the-job and professional development trainings of teachers, which are very critical for vocational education, because teachers need to see current technological developments so that they can quickly inject those skills into education. Thus, in a very short time, we implemented these collaborations with all the representatives of the labor market in all the fields we provide training.”

Stating that they started to establish very strong vocational high schools with the most important institutions and organizations of Turkey, Minister Özer stated that the step taken with Yıldız Technical University is also within this scope. Özer said, “A secondary education institution where our teachers do their education, our students there do their R&D studies at the university, and our academics use the places and resources they teach together… This is what we want.” he said.

Noting that the more the experiences of Turkey in different fields can be transferred to the education system, the stronger the system will be, Minister Mahmut Özer, Yıldız Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. He thanked all university academics, staff and those who contributed to this project in the person of Tamer Yılmaz.
