The press conference of the International Business Forum (IBF) 2nd Turkish-Arab Business Summit was held in Gaziantep for the first time after Istanbul, under the coordination of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) with the cooperation of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and with the contributions of the Ministry of Trade.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin also attended the press conference held at the Şahinbey Congress and Art Center between 10-12 June and at the Gaziantep MUSIAD Branch of the forum where 600 business people from all over the world will attend.

President Fatma Şahin, in her speech, said that Gaziantep is a city that transforms the Silk Road into a path of development and brotherhood, and embodies the spirit of unity.
Drawing attention to the vision, will and belief of MUSIAD, Şahin said:
“A century ago, our ancestors fought for the flag with the crescent and star to fly. Resisting hunger, the city became a gastronomic center a century later. We are the 7th city in the world in competitiveness. I would like to thank MUSIAD for their solid stance in the journey they started with the 'High Technology Vision'. Since 2002, their stance behind the national will was very important in every event that opposed the will of the people. It is very valuable that the local national civil society follows him with the leadership and courage of our President."

Referring to the prominent features of the city, Fatma Şahin concluded her words as follows:
“We are a city at the forefront of infrastructure and transportation. We participated in the OECD Champion Cities Initiative. We see every human being as a first class citizen. We approach issues with participation and inclusiveness. We have also been declared a Green City by the EBRD. 'How will we make the industry a green industry?' we move on to higher purification. We got permission to bring water to the organization from the Euphrates. Water will come from an altitude of 400, and we will provide the energy to be used to raise it to 800 altitude from the sun. We became the first city to take action to protect the city's air, water and soil. We never get hung up on periodic troubles. There is a green power economy. There is a MUSIAD that sees these works. BUSINESS VOLUME EXCEEDING 5 BILLION DOLLARS IS TARGET IN THE FORUM
It is anticipated that the forum will bring together many technology companies on investment.
