Istanbulites celebrated the 'World Dance Day' by enjoying world-famous music genres in different parts of the city. The dance shows, which enliven the city's squares, parks, piers and cultural centers with full performances, became the focus of attention of all Istanbulites from 7 to 70.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) brought world-renowned music genres to Istanbul as part of the 'World Dance Day'. The events, from flamenco to modern dance, children's ballet, fire dance, performing arts, tribal dances, as well as being specific to various geographies, offered a rich dance choreography with dance performances appealing to 7 to 70 people.
Music and dance lovers who felt the iconic and colorful energy of the shows, where world-famous music genres blended with the city, held their breath with fire dances, had fun with DJ performances, were fascinated with Flamenco, and accompanied the performing arts ensembles.
On this special day celebrated with dance performances all over the world, IMM Culture Department; Maçka Democracy Park, Karaköy, Kadıköyhosted fascinating moments at Beşiktaş and Üsküdar Piers, Haliç Metro Park and İBB Ümraniye and Bakırköy Cultural Centers.
On the Dance Day, where the public spaces of Istanbul were lively all day, the performances continued from day to night in a festive atmosphere. Enjoying the spring in the open spaces of the city with lively Latin dances and hip-hop mixed performances, Istanbulites enjoyed these entertaining moments together. Dance groups that came out of the ensemble during the dances performed with the flash mob technique made the citizens happy. The dance performances, which added sparkle to Istanbul nights, allowed the public to spend pleasant moments in the green areas of the city. Dance performances kept the dynamism at its peak at 8 different points of the city.
