Turkish LIQUI MOLY Motocross Championship to be Held in Afyon

The opening race of the Turkey LIQUI MOLY Motocross Championship will be held on April 9-10 with the support of Afyonkarahisar Municipality. Turkey LIQUI MOLY Motocross Championship, which is included in the 2022 race calendar of the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, will be held on April 9-10 with the support of Afyonkarahisar Municipality, Anadolu Motor and Doğa. It will be organized by the organization of the Sports Club. Athletes from many cities, especially Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Adana, Sakarya, Mersin, Kocaeli and Bursa, will participate in the first leg race of the season to be run at Afyon Motor Sports Center.

Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek stated that they will spend this year with great events and organizations every month and said, “We will start the activities of the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive with the Turkish Motocross Championship. This year, we will meet with our young people with our different and beautiful organizations, and we will bring all of Turkey together in our mysterious city, Afyonkarahisar. Actually, we were going to give the first start with the Victory Ride, but unfortunately we had to postpone it due to adverse weather conditions. I hope we will carry out the Victory Ride to Kocatepe from all over Turkey in April," he said.

Noting that the events of the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive will begin with the Turkish Championship, our Mayor Mehmet Zeybek said, “Our facilities in Afyonkarahisar attract many athletes to our city. We will open the season in motor sports in Afyonkarahisar. We will organize the first of the Turkish Motocross Championship on our award-winning track as part of the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive. Both the Turkish Motorcycle Federation and the athletes show great interest in our city. We have a serious infrastructure support for Turkish motor sports. We are also happy to see the athletes prepared here in the Balkan, European and World Championships.”
