'Train Through Children's Eyes' Painting Exhibition Opened at Ankara Train Station

The 'Train Through the Eyes of Children' competition, organized by TCDD General Directorate of Transport for April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, took place in a short time with the participation of 50 children from many parts of Turkey. The incoming pictures were presented to the visitors for 26 week starting from April 1, with a ceremony attended by TCDD Transportation General Manager Hasan Pezük, the children of the competitors and their parents.

At the ceremony that started at 11.00, while entertaining activities were organized for children, General Manager of TCDD Transportation Hasan Pezük gave a speech. Pezük: “It is extremely important for the maintenance of our national consciousness that April 23, the opening of our Gazi Assembly, which is a turning point in our history, is presented to our children as a holiday by the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk." said.

General Manager Pezük pointed out that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is working diligently for new railway lines in order to leave a cleaner and more livable world to the children, the architects of the future, and to make room for kites in the skies. Pezük: “Our expectation from you today is that you love and protect our trains and that when you take over our duties in the future, you prefer railway transportation to leave a livable world to the next generations.” he said.

Pezük also said: “We make positive discrimination for our children on our trains, we carry all our children under the age of 7 free of charge, and our children under the age of 7 and 13 with a 50 percent discount. We have provided discounted travel opportunities on our trains for 2021 thousand children in 175, and for 2022 thousand children in 130 so far. The presence and joy of our children on our trains makes the railway family happy, and their smiles make our trains beautiful.” used the phrases.

After the speeches of TCDD Transportation General Manager Hasan Pezük, the General Manager and the participating children cut ribbons and opened the exhibition. Karaoke and face painting activities for children continued after the ceremony.
