Clio Trophy racing series, which witnessed great excitement around the world, is in Turkey Renault Clio Trophy Turkey It's starting its second season under the title. Renault Clio Trophy Turkey, which will follow the 7-race calendar of the Turkish Rally Championship organized by Toksport WRT with the main partnership of Renault MAİS, will start on the dirt track in Bodrum on 16-17 April 2022.
Renault Clio Trophy Turkey, which is an exciting opportunity for experienced pilots who want to race with a new and talented car, as well as for those who want to start motor sports, will be held for the second time this year.
The first of the 7 races, in which cars with exactly the same characteristics will compete, will be run on the dirt tracks of the Bodrum Rally on April 16-17, 2022.
The list of pilots and co-pilots to compete for the Renault Clio Trophy Turkey Rally, which will be held under the main sponsorship of Evofone, is as follows; Nebil Erbil & Aslı Erbil, Menderes Okur & Onur Aslan, Tuncer Sancaklı & Asena Sancaklı, Can Altınok & Efe Ersoy, Sinan Soylu & Ali Tuğrul Kaya.
In the first season of Clio Trophy Turkey, 6 special stages were passed in 47 races last year, and more than 2 thousand kilometers were covered in total. Cars with a standard 1.3-liter TCe engine are used in the races that demonstrate the durability and agility of the Renault Clio. While the suspension components are 90 percent the same as the road car, only the shock absorbers differ. Offering a high degree of competition and driving pleasure, race cars also have 180 hp and 300 nm of torque, unlike road cars, with engine map software in addition to standard features. The transmission of this power to the road is handled by the Sadev's sequential racing gearbox. It also features a ZF signature limited-slip racing differential to better transfer the increased power to the road.
Precautions such as safety cage, fire extinguisher and six-point seat belts are also taken to keep all pilots safe at the maximum level.
Renault Clio Trophy Turkey, organized by Toksport WRT in the main partnership of Renault MAİS, followed by Bodrum, 28-29 May Yeşil Bursa Rally (Asphalt), 25-26 June Eskişehir Rally (Asphalt), 30-31 July Kocaeli Rally (Toprak), 17 It will continue with the 18 September Istanbul Rally (Ground) and the 15-16 October Aegean Rally (Asphalt). The place and date of the last race to be run in November will be announced separately. The winners of the organization will be the owners of independent trophies, apart from the awards of the Turkish Automobile Federation. Among the sponsors of the racing series are Castrol, Michelin, Maxxi Filo and Renault Filo.
Organized by Toksport WRT worldwide, the Clio Trophy follows the European Rally Championship races.
