IMM prepares Climate Action Plan for local municipalities. IMM, which provides consultancy services to some municipalities in this field, has recently agreed with Çorlu Municipality. IMM, which develops projects suitable for the environment of the city specifically for local municipalities, will prepare a Climate Action Plan in accordance with the 40 percent emission reduction target of Çorlu Municipality.

The Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) prepared by Istanbul Energy, a subsidiary company of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), continues to work for local governments. Having prepared SECAP studies for some municipalities before, Istanbul Energy finally shook hands with Çorlu Municipality.

The SECAP study to be prepared by IMM will comply with the 40 percent emission reduction target, which is the commitment of the Municipality of Çorlu in the Agreement of Mayors. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to realize many projects such as Renewable Energy Applications, Installation of Recovery Systems from Solid Waste, and Dissemination of Electric Vehicles.

Çorlu Municipality will create the Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory of the district with the SECAP agreement it has made with IMM. The risks and sensitivities of the district against the effects of climate change will be determined. This agreement will contribute to Çorlu Municipality's ability to benefit from international funds. It will also contribute to the vision of the local government, which realizes the social responsibility of the municipality in terms of the environment.

As Istanbul Energy, we are ready to fulfill our duty in line with the net zero carbon target.” said.
