Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu, made today's fast-breaking meal with Dudullu-Bostancı Metro Line workers. Approximately 200 employees attended the iftar event held at the Bostancı Station of the line, which is nearing the end of its construction. Opening his fast 25 meters underground with his colleagues, İmamoğlu said, “Istanbul is one of the largest cities in the world. Such a big city has invisible heroes, invisible workers and people who make life easier and improve life. You are a group of those unknown and unseen heroes that I have opened my fast-breaking meal here. You are the people who built the metro, which is perhaps one of the most important investments, to make Istanbul's life easier underground. First of all, I would like to convey my gratitude and thanks to you, your employers, your colleagues and all of you who put forth this effort in Istanbul.”

“WE WISH IT TO MEET WITH THE CITIZENS AT THE END OF THIS YEAR”

Emphasizing that the Dudullu-Bostancı metro line is one of the most valuable works for him, İmamoğlu said, “We would very much like this place to meet with our citizens at the end of this year. I know you put a lot of effort into it. I see and know that our contractor companies, the companies that built this place, take a serious responsibility; I feel it. I will never forget this in my life. These beautiful works do not belong to one person. These beautiful works belong to the nation. We produce it together. We exist together. We will enjoy it as a nation in the future, it will add value to our lives. Someone starts a job today, someone else finishes it tomorrow. Someone else will come in the future, -it doesn't matter- as I said, the owner of these jobs is the nation. I cling to my work with that belief. I am honored and proud to serve our nation. I am so happy. I wish you all a sweet life, a healthy life, a peaceful, successful life, a fruitful life. I convey my love, respect and greetings to all of you to their homes, homes, mothers, fathers, families and children.” After the fast-breaking meal, İmamoğlu took photos with the employees.

IMM IS BUILT WITH ITS OWN RESOURCES
