A fire broke out in the electrical cables at Taksim Metro Station. Passenger intakes that were closed were reopened after the fire was extinguished.
The fire occurred at the exit of Taksim Square on the M22.20 Yenikapı-Haciosman Metro line at around 2. Allegedly, at the exit of the Taksim Metro square, for an undetermined reason, there was a burning in the electrical cables. Citizens who saw the smoke reported the situation to the police and firefighters. Firefighters intervened in the fire while the police teams came to the scene and took security measures in the surrounding area. As a precaution, Taksim Metro was closed to passenger entrances. Passenger intakes, which were closed after the firefighters extinguished the fire in a short time, were reopened.
