The delegation, headed by Azeraeronavigatsia (AZANS) Air Traffic Control Director (AZANS) Farhan Guliyev, visited Hüseyin Keskin, Chairman of the Board and General Manager, in his office. In the meeting held between the delegations after the visit, the issues of cooperation between the two institutions were discussed.

Chairman of the Board and General Manager Hüseyin Keskin, the meeting was chaired by Board Member and Deputy General Manager Mehmet Ateş, Electronics Department Head Orhan Gültekin, Aviation Training Department Head Sinan Yıldız, Air Navigation Vice President Rıdvan Çinkılıç and related branch managers and AZANS Air Traffic Control Director Farhan Guliyev. Azerbaijan delegation participated.

At the meeting where ATM-CNS issues were discussed, an initiative was initiated to implement the international requirements in the field of cooperation in air navigation services of the two countries and the optimum use of the airspace of both countries, together with a strategic partnership to be formed.

At the meeting, it was decided to provide mutual support in the field of ensuring flight safety in the airspaces of the two sister states and increasing the quality of air navigation services.

Our country, including the civil aviation sector; It is a strategic partner of Azerbaijan. The airspace of Azerbaijan and Turkey plays an important role in the large-scale air transport chain linking Europe and Asia.

The airspace arrangements to be made with this step will also make an important contribution to the implementation of the One Belt, One Road Global Transport Project.

In addition, at the meeting; It was decided to cooperate on road charges for flights, DHMI ATM R&D projects, electronic systems for navigation and aviation communications, and basic and advanced air traffic controller training.

During the inspection visit of the delegation to the Esenboğa Airport Aviation Academy, the simulator systems developed with the facilities of the Organization were introduced.

Expressing his satisfaction with the decisions taken at the meeting and the strong determination to cooperate, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager Hüseyin Keskin said, "We are proud that the good relations between the two states, which reached the highest level, with the understanding of "one nation, two states", have moved to the top in the field of civil aviation as well. Our sincere efforts will continue to advance the existing cooperation shaped by deep cultural and historical ties and common goals.” he said.
