Due to the Çiğli Tram Line works, which are under construction by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the traffic flow on Semra Aksu Street will change. The street will be closed to traffic from Saturday (April 16, 2022). Traffic flow and bus transportation will be provided on 8010 Street. After the completion of the productions, Semra Aksu Street will be arranged and will have a brand new look.
As part of the construction of the Çiğli Tram Line, the traffic flow will change due to the rail laying works on Semra Aksu Street. Before the work, which is planned to last for 6 months, the street and the bus stops next to the Ataşehir Mahallesi Muhtarlığı will be closed to traffic. Transportation will be provided in both directions from 8010 Sokak.

After the rail laying works, Semra Aksu Street and its surroundings will be completely renewed. Within the scope of the regulation that will increase the safety and comfort of pedestrian transportation, the street will be closed to vehicle traffic at certain hours and pedestrianized. In a part of the pedestrianized street, a square will be created where the public will rest and breathe, with green areas and landscaping. The existing bus transfer center, located next to Çiğli İZBAN Station, will be taken next to Ataşehir Mahallesi Muhtarlığı. This will serve as a bus parking area and a movement center. The renewed transfer center will increase the quality of life of the citizens with its green areas, resting and waiting areas.
