Ankara Tourism Activities Started With Anıtkabir Visit

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality hosted various events within the scope of “15-22 April Tourism Week”. The Department of Culture and Social Affairs organized a "culture and tourism awareness" event for the first time in order to introduce the capital city to the students of Tourism Vocational High School. 45 students who participated in the activities that started with the visit to the Anıtkabir watched the Seymenler and Janissary Band show held in the Youth Park with interest.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality carries out activities aimed at reviving the tourism of the Capital as well as its historical and cultural values.

Aiming to introduce the capital city to the world, the Metropolitan Municipality held a 'culture and tourism awareness' event for the first time, with the participation of the students of Private TURSAB Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Çankaya Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, due to the “April 15-22 Tourism Week”.

ACTIVITIES STARTED WITH A VISIT TO ANITKABIR

45 students, who were taken to Anıtkabir under the coordination of the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs Tourism Branch Directorate, then watched the Seymenler and Janissary Band show held in the Youth Park with interest.

Ali Bozkurt, Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs, stated that they organized this event for the students of Tourism Vocational High School for the first time, and said:

“As the Culture Department, we believe that tourism is an important factor in the promotion of Ankara. We are planning to organize events to announce the historical, touristic, archaeological, health and thermal capacity of the capital at home and abroad. We care about tourism high schools, the students there will later take part in this sector and become employees of the sector. At this point, I care about this union with them today in terms of raising awareness. We will have more different events in the coming years.”

Ankara Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Ali Ayvazoğlu stated that they were happy to meet with the youth at the event, in which Fehmi Cem Yücel, President of Ankara Chamber of Professional Tourist Guides, also participated, and expressed his thoughts: to natural beauty. We are in the desire to introduce these beauties, historical values ​​and all our structures first to our own city, then to our whole country and to the whole world.”

THANKS FROM THE STUDENTS TO THE METROPOLITAN

Students studying at Tourism Vocational High Schools in Ankara; Ankara Chamber of Professional Tourist Guides (ANRO), TURSAB and Ankara Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for hosting the event with the following words:

Batin Eren Yesildogan: “Of course, it would be better if the scope of activities related to tourism is increased. Tourism is a profession with a future. Ankara's tourism is lower than other provinces, so we need to do everything we can to increase Ankara's tourism.”

Medina Aral: “Today's tourism event was very nice. We did it in our own school and we are very proud. Because we were really happy that our profession was respected at an event.”

At the end of the event, Ankara tourism map, tourism guide, key chain, flag and tourism books were presented to the students.
