All Shares of TRMotor Passed to TAI

In the “About Us” section of TRMotor's official website, it is stated that 100% of the shares of the company belong to Türk Aerospace Industries Inc.

At the DIMDEX defense fair held in Qatar TurDefAnswering the questions of Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, on the development of domestic engine for MMU, stated that sufficient financing could not be provided for 2 different domestic engine projects and that all contractors (TRMotor, Rolls-Royce, Kale, Pratt & Whitney and TEI) should be gathered under a single project.

İsmail Demir stated that Rolls-Royce had reservations about working with TRMotor before, but that such a thing is out of the question at the moment and that TRMotor may work in partnership with Rolls-Royce if this trend continues.

In February 2021, within the scope of the National Combat Aircraft (MMU) project development activities carried out by the SSB, TAI and TRMOTOR signed a new protocol to develop domestic power units.

The development activities of the National Combat Aircraft (MMU) project, which will make our country one of the few countries with 5th generation warplanes, carried out by the Presidency of Defense Industry (SSB), are continuing. TAI, the main contractor of the project, had previously agreed with local companies for investments such as wind tunnel and lightning test facility, and a framework contract was signed with TRMOTOR for the engine development of the aircraft.
