Regarding the Kayseri City Hospital and Talas additional tram line construction works, Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç announced the opening dates of the lines.
With the support of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Tınaztepe - Intercity Bus Terminal - City Hospital, KumsMall AVM and Talas district additional tram lines will be opened. The issue was also on the agenda at the April Metropolitan Municipality Assembly meeting held yesterday. Memduh Büyükkılıç, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, who chaired the meeting, also gave information about the tram lines under construction and said:
“It is requested that the 10-year period authorization, which was given before, be reinstated. With the completion of the additional line belonging to our Talas and the line that will pass in front of our Kumsmall shopping center, City Hospital and terminal after Tınaztepe, it will reach a total of 48 kilometers. Hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, we hope that our Tınaztepe line will be implemented in July-August, 3 months later, that is, like autumn, our Talas line. We signed a protocol and bought 6 trams, and 5 are given by our ministry. We have 69 tram cars, so it reaches 80.” said.
