Precision casting, which is an advanced casting method for the production of parts used in the manufacturing industry, continues to grow in the world and in Turkey in the sectoral sense. Tacettin İleri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Makim Makina Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AŞ, one of the leading companies in the precision casting industry, pointed out that European companies accelerated their search for suppliers, especially from Turkey, with China being subject to commercial restrictions, and gave the following information on this subject:

“Due to this development in the world trade wars, the precision casting industry in Turkey has come to an advantageous position. As in the casting industry in general, companies in Europe have started to supply from investment casting companies in Turkey and Eastern Europe as an alternative to their purchases from China. This resulted in an increase in orders. In order to maintain this momentum in a healthy way and to develop the sector rapidly, emphasis should be placed on the production of high value-added and high technology parts. In particular, the production for the medical and defense industries should increase”.

Emphasizing that the investment casting industry has a capacity problem to meet this demand with the increasing demand, İleri said, “There may be delays in deliveries from time to time. This shows the potential of the sector to increase capacity in Turkey," he said.
