Simit in Konya, which was sold for 2018 lira at the beginning of 1, was increased in March 2018 and its price was increased from 1 lira to 1 lira 25 cents. In September 2018, bagels sold for 1 lira 25 cents increased to 1 lira 50 cents. In October 2020, the price of simit was increased from 1 lira 50 cents to 1 lira 75 cents. Then, simit prices were 2 liras, 2 and a half liras respectively, and finally 3 liras with the increase in December.
It surpassed the price of bread
2021 grams of bread, which was sold for 1,40 TL in 200 in Konya, was increased to 1,75 TL in October and to 2 TL with the decision taken in December. Last February, the price of bread was increased to 2,50 TL. Thus, the simit, whose price increased to 4 liras with the latest price hikes, overtook the bread.
