Conveying his greetings to all healthcare professionals who work devotedly and strive to provide healthcare services to people at home and abroad, President Erdoğan stated that healthcare professionals have been through grueling and extremely painful days during the coronavirus process, which has left its mark on the last two years.

President Erdoğan said: “We have had brothers and sisters who could not go to their homes for weeks, who could not see their children's faces, and who were longing for their loved ones only on the phone screen. Again, during this epidemic period, we lost many of our scientists, including our respected teachers such as Murat Dilmener, Cemil Taşçıoğlu and Feriha Öz, and our country's values. I wish God's mercy on all of our brothers and sisters whom we have sent off to the poor, especially those who passed away during the course of duty.” he said.

Expressing that the nation will never forget the struggles and sacrifices of healthcare professionals during this difficult process and will always remember them with gratitude and gratitude, President Erdoğan said that the epidemic caused by Suleiman the Magnificent: “There is no honorable object among the people like the state, the state is like a breath of health in the world. ” He emphasized that the deep wisdom in his words once again showed the fact that there can be no greater happiness in the world than health.

Stating that the process reminds us of the importance of having a strong health infrastructure with high quality, widespread and accessible health services, President Erdoğan said, “Praise be to Allah, we have had the opportunity to reap the rewards of our investments in health in the last two years. Our 20 city hospitals with a total of 25 thousand 298 beds, which we opened in different cities of our country, took on very important roles in this critical period when human life was at stake. These modern facilities, which the opposition is working day and night to prevent, have turned into institutions that are taken as an example in the world in the fight against epidemic-style mass diseases. said.

Stating that they broke new ground in this field with 1008 emergency hospitals with 2 beds each, which they completed and put into service in record time, President Erdoğan said: “We achieved a great success by completing the construction and commissioning of the health facility with 16 thousand 159 beds only during the epidemic period. All of our health projects, called 'waste' and criticized as 'what is the need', have helped save the lives of tens of thousands of our citizens in this process.” used the phrases.

“We have further cemented our position in the world”

Recalling that Turkey was one of the few countries that reached the vaccine first during the epidemic, President Erdoğan said, “We have not only been content with the supply of vaccines, but we have further strengthened our position in the world by rapidly developing our own domestic vaccine. Our local vaccine, TURKOVAC, is a source of healing for millions of people in different corners of the world, as well as our own citizens. We are carrying out quality studies in this field with our Turkish Vaccine Institute and Clinical Research Center, which we established, that is, with our new sanitation. We are determined to crown the struggle we have been successfully waging for the last two years with victory against the epidemic that has shaken the whole world deeply.” made its assessment.

Stating that the power of the health system, the effectiveness of the measures they have taken and the positive effect of the widespread vaccination campaign, there has been a serious decrease in the number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths, President Erdoğan continued as follows:

“Scientists state that it would be more appropriate to define the current picture as an endemic rather than a pandemic. Hopefully, we will make a comprehensive assessment of the situation on the basis of these facts in the coming days and share the decisions taken in line with the recommendations of our Scientific Committee with our nation. With the easing of the epidemic conditions, we see that the services in our hospitals, from surgeries to examinations and analyzes, from imaging to standard polyclinic services, are on track again. As the epidemic gets out of our country's agenda, the complaints from our citizens about health services will decrease in time.”

President Erdoğan stated that they will continue to make every effort to ensure that people access health services without any problems and uninterruptedly, and continued his words as follows:

“Of course, modern hospitals and devices with the latest technology are important and indispensable in the provision of health services, but as in all areas directly related to people and human life, the essential element in health is health personnel. Doctors, nurses, caregivers, laboratory workers, technicians, cleaning staff and all of our health workers are the ones who will make our citizens feel the investments made by our state in health, the incentives and supports it provides. For this reason, we attach great importance to the ability of our healthcare personnel to fulfill their duties with peace of mind and without any worries. Nothing we do, nothing we say will suffice to express our gratitude to you.”

“Our relevant ministries and institutions are working on financial improvements”

President Erdoğan said that the work on all the good news, especially the prevention of violence in health and financial improvements, which they shared on the 14 March Medicine Day, continues.

Reminding that they gave 14 good news for healthcare professionals on March 5, President Erdoğan said: “Our first good news was a legal regulation aimed at preventing violence against healthcare professionals by including such crimes within the scope of catalog crimes. Hopefully, this proposal, whose commission phase is over, will come to the General Assembly after the holiday and become law at the discretion of our deputies. he said.

Stating that the second good news is the Professional Responsibility Board, President Erdoğan continued as follows:

“With this regulation, a new mechanism is established that will ensure that compensation cases to be filed against doctors due to their professional activities are first evaluated by a board within the Ministry of Health. The new regulation stipulates that if there is a compensation decision that is not based on the doctor's willful negligence, the state should undertake this so that our citizens are not victimized. This regulation, which is strictly within the scope of the same law proposal, will hopefully come to the agenda of the General Assembly after the feast.

Our third good news was the improvements in the financial rights of health workers. Our relevant ministries and institutions are working on financial improvements that require extensive preparation. Hopefully, we will share the results with you as soon as possible. It will also be ensured that our health workers, whose fixed additional payments will be reflected on the payroll, will not suffer any loss of rights for this reason.

Our fourth good news was the reflection of financial improvements on retirement, especially the inclusion of our undergraduate nurses in the scope of 3600 additional indicators. I would like to underline once again that we are determined to finalize the issue of 3600 additional indicators, which concern a significant segment other than healthcare professionals, before the end of the year.

Our fifth good news was the increase in the salaries of our family physicians. In this regard, the work of our ministries and institutions is coming to an end soon. Thus, our healthcare professionals will be able to lead their lives in a more peaceful and comfortable way in all respects starting from this summer.”

President Erdoğan emphasized that they will follow each and every one of their promises and ensure that they are finalized.

“We embrace other areas of life with the confidence of our healthcare professionals”

Underlining that, like every segment in Turkey, healthcare professionals also take steps that will improve their working environment, increase their level of well-being, and enable them to look to the future with hope, President Erdoğan said:

“Make sure that we make an effort sincerely by seeing every issue of our physicians and other healthcare professionals as our own issue, and seeing every gain as our own gain. Until today, we have neither embraced populism by resorting to populism, nor have we watched our people suffer. Rather than saving the day, we aimed to guarantee the future of all 85 million people. We do the same today. Considering the state of the global economy, we are all struggling to get Turkey out of this stormy sea and the coast safe.

I believe that the distance we have covered in any other subject is not important until we are successful in the field of health, which is at the forefront of basic services. We need your support the most in the construction of a great and powerful Turkey, we trust you the most. When we say 'army' to our paramedics, who make up almost 3/1 of all public personnel, we are not talking casually. With the confidence of our healthcare professionals, who are on duty 24 hours a day and reach 1,3 million people all over our country, we embrace other areas of life with all our hands. I have no doubt that you, our brothers and sisters, whom I see as the carrier pillars of our health system, continue to serve our nation with all your heart and soul, just as you did during the epidemic.”
