Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay visited TRT International Konya Film Plateau, built by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Meram Municipality and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) in Meram Karahüyük District.

Stating that TRT International Konya Film Plateau is one of the important attraction areas of Konya, Mayor Altay said, “This is the biggest TRT Film Plateau of our country, which was built after Istanbul. Here the 13th century of our Konya was rebuilt. Seljuk Palace, Hz. With Mevlana's house, madrasah, İplikçi Mosque and city walls, an important center has emerged where you will travel to 13th century Konya. As Konya Metropolitan Municipality, we would like to use this area for tourism purposes as well. With the cooperation of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Meram Municipality and TRT, a plateau has been formed where people who come to Konya can see 13th century Konya.” said.

President Altay, who also gave information about the latest situation of the Mevlana series, which is still being shot at TRT International Konya Film Plateau, said, “There is an important event here right now. Hopefully, it will be ready to meet with our audience by the end of the year. We would like to thank TRT for bringing such a beautiful environment to our city. I would also like to thank everyone who contributed to the Mevlana series, from the producer to the actor. Hz. Mevlana is a common value of the entire Islamic world, even the whole world.
