1 May Labor Day Posters Exhibition at Taksim Metro by DISK

The 1 May Labor Day posters exhibition, which has been prepared by the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DİSK) since 2022 as part of the 1976 May 1 Labor Week events, was opened in Taksim Metro with the support of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).

The posters of the illustrators Fahrettin Engin Erdoğan, Orhan Taylan, Tan Oral, Emre Çağatay, Erkal Yavi, Şekip Davaz, Ruhi Kavasoğlu, Yılmaz Aysan, Ergün İşeri, Rauf Kösemen and Can Kaya were displayed in the exhibition.

As part of the 1 May 2022 Labor Week activities, the exhibition consisting of DİSK's 1976 May posters since 1 was opened on Thursday, 28 April 2022 in Istanbul Taksim metro.

DİSK Chairman Arzu Çerkezoğlu, KESK Co-Chair Mehmet Bozgeyik and DİSK Secretary General Adnan Serdaroğlu also attended the opening of the “1 May Poster Exhibition”, which was held with the support of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

Making a speech at the opening of the exhibition, DİSK Chairman Arzu Çerkezoğlu said: “We have planned such an event with the responsibility of bringing this history together with future generations and to call for 2022 May 1”.

KESK Co-Chair Mehmet Bozgeyik made a speech at the opening of the exhibition and called for a meeting in the 1 May squares.
