“I came to my favorite village. I told my friends that I wanted to have iftar together with you. I said; 'I want to go home and open an iftar in Göçbeyli.' They said; 'This is not possible. This is not at home. We should all be together.' Frankly, I was happy. I know the faces of many of the ladies in you now. I was very impressed when I first came here. When I first came here, when I saw the women working in the fields, I felt my mother, I saw my mother when I saw you. Since that day, while taking every step with my friends related to agriculture in Istanbul, believe me, I have been trying to catch up and run to every village in that labor environment, working environment, that fertile environment where I saw you. May your homes be blessed. Kazanhave a lot of fun. May the month of Ramadan always bring you beauties and give your beautiful children clarity of mind. May their future be good. I hope we always take care of each other like this. Happy ramadan. May Allah accept it. I love you all."
After the mass iftar, İmamoğlu fulfilled the requests of the villagers to take photos. The villagers also presented their own products to İmamoğlu. İmamoğlu visited 76-year-old Saadet Çamur, a resident of the village, at his home after iftar.
