The President's decision on declaring Ihlara Valley and its surroundings in the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray a "definitive sensitive area to be protected" was published in the Official Gazette.
According to the decision published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Ihlara Valley and its Surrounding Natural Protected Area, located within the borders of Güzelyurt district, was registered and declared as a "sensitive area to be definitely protected" as a result of the re-evaluation of its conservation status.
The decision also included a sketch of the sensitive area to be protected, as well as information on its geographical boundaries and coordinates.
