We once again feel how precious it is during the war we live today. Today, we see politicians trying to hug Montreux, which they swung to the right and left yesterday, even if they had a hundred arms. Today, they are embracing Montreux, which they despised and humiliated only two years ago for the love of a channel.”

ALTAY: “ATATÜRK AND İNÖNÜ, TWO HALF OF AN APPLE”

"Ismet Pasha, whom I know, has always been ahead, both with his actions and with his rhetoric," said Altay, expressing his feelings, "He is the closest of the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in every field, from war to politics to the revolution process. We wouldn't be wrong if we say two halves of an apple. That famous phrase after the 1950 elections, 'This election is my greatest victory', is a very valuable phrase that will go down in the history of world politics. The following can be said about İnönü's love of democracy: Hatred does not suit the state. Yes, we established the Republic with blood, we will raise it with people. I am one of those who think that it is the duty of 84 million people to commemorate İnönü with loyalty, gratitude and gratitude, apart from commemorating him with mercy. May Allah not allow this nation to bury a third statesman in Anıtkabir.

İMAMOĞLU: “WE REMEMBER A PERSONALITY THAT BEATED THE NATION'S WORST LUCK”

“No matter what anyone says, we commemorate the very precious Pasha of this country today. As Atatürk expressed, today we commemorate a personality who defeated the unfortunate luck of the nation,” said İmamoğlu, and referred to the renovation process of İnönü's monument in the area. Stating that they designed a permanent platform in order to ensure the visibility of the monument, which cannot be seen in a healthy way, İmamoğlu pointed out that the permission they requested from the Board of Monuments to implement the project in question could be obtained at the end of 2 years. He shared that with the renovation of the monument, they also carried out landscaping works in the park. Emphasizing that the “Ismet İnönü Book” they are promoting is a very enlightening and original work, İmamoğlu said, “We already pay attention to this. IBB Publications continues its services with an understanding that really paves the way and liberates them, ensuring that every work published by IBB Publications is original and free works and that authors and historians present this contribution to us.”

“TODAY, WE SEE POLITICIANS TRYING TO CLOSE TO MONTRÖ, WHICH THEY SPEAKED RIGHT AND LEFT YESTERDAY”

Emphasizing that they have reached these days with the struggle of Atatürk, İnönü and their friends, İmamoğlu said:

“It is because of them that we are here today. Then, these people founded the Republic under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. And then they provided us with guarantees like Lausanne and Montreux. Those guarantees are still very important guarantees of our country. We once again feel how precious it is during the war we live today. Today, we see politicians trying to hug Montreux, which they swung to the right and left yesterday, even if they had a hundred arms. They are embracing Montreux, which they despised and humiliated just two years ago for the love of a canal, today. These are great statesmen. We see once again how sensitive and meticulous our people of the state were when you read them word for word, who signed these contracts and struggled at that time.”

“WE WILL CELEBRATE THE 100TH YEAR IN ALL DOMESTIC AND IN LAUSANNE”

Pointing out that the 100th anniversary of the Republic will be celebrated with 85 million people next year, İmamoğlu said, “Our people living outside this country will also live the 100th anniversary of our Republic to the fullest. And on the 100th anniversary, we will hold meetings that will make Lausanne feel in its deepest form, not only in Istanbul, but also in Lausanne with the most valuable celebrations.

I hope that we can be the sons and administrators of the Republic, who are worthy of the 100th anniversary of the Republic and who can put forth the best and the highest level of success in the preparation of the next century. This is my hope, my prayer. I hope we are worthy of it. I hope we will be worthy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, İsmet İnönü and those valuable commanders and statesmen who founded this country. We do our job with this love and enthusiasm. We do not see or recognize any obstacles in front of us; We'll get through it," he said.
