Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is implementing a new tariff application in the morning in order to support the transportation expenses of especially working citizens and to reduce the traffic density at certain hours.

As of April 27, 2022, discounted tariffs will be applied in BAŞKENTRAY with the cable car, bus and rail systems (Metro-ANKARAY) belonging to the EGO General Directorate between 06.00-06.45 in urban transportation. Between these hours, the full price of ANKARAKART will decrease from 6,5 TL to 4,50 TL.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its works without slowing down to provide a safe, comfortable and more economical transportation to the citizens of the Capital.

EGO General Directorate starts the discounted tariff application in the morning for the first time in order to support the transportation expenses of the working citizens and to reduce the traffic density that occurs at certain hours.

DISCOUNTED TARIFF IS COMING TO LIFE FROM APRIL 27

The discounted tariff, which will be applied only between 06.00 and 06.45 in urban transportation, will be implemented throughout the city as of Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Within the scope of the discounted tariff, which will also be valid in the cable car, bus and rail systems (Metro-ANKARAY) and BAŞKENTRAY belonging to the EGO General Directorate, the full price of ANKARAKART will be updated as 6,5 TL instead of 4,50 TL.

TARGET: INCREASING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BY REDUCING TRAFFIC DENSITY

With this application, which was started for the first time in Ankara, the Metropolitan Municipality also aims to make the public transportation service more comfortable by pulling the hours when the traffic density is high, and to encourage the citizens of Başkent, who have private vehicles, to use public transportation.

EGO General Directorate will also prepare a general service planning that will determine the departure times and the number of services in accordance with the determined time intervals, by preparing site inspection and expedition reports, especially the hourly distribution of passenger density rates, following the start of the implementation.
