The Black Sea Coastal Road, which provides transportation between Düzce and Zonguldak provinces and Sakarya, collapsed due to the landslide that occurred in Akçakoca Edilli with the effect of melting snow waters after heavy snowfall.
As the road became unusable, the asphalt was completely damaged. After the crash, the road was closed to traffic in both directions. Gendarmerie teams blocked the road in Hemşin village turnoff location and did not allow vehicles to pass. Vehicles going to Düzce-Sakarya direction were directed to alternative roads created in the village.
On the other hand, the 50-meter part of the road, which was damaged, was viewed from the air with a drone.
