Insurance Premium Support of 6.1 Million Liras Given to Employers

Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, announced that they gave 2021 million TL Private Employer Insurance Premium Support in 6.1 in order to benefit from social assistance and bring working citizens into the labor market.

Minister Yanık stated that the support for the employment of the citizens in need of social assistance continues so that they do not break away from the socio-economic life.

Stating that they encourage their participation in the workforce by directing citizens who can benefit from social assistance to İŞKUR, Minister Yanık said, “Our support continues to strengthen the social aid-employment bond. We strive to use our resources effectively and accurately. Private Employer Insurance Premium Support is one of them.”

Sharing the details of the Private Employer Insurance Premium Support, Minister Yanık said: “As the Ministry, we undertake the monthly insurance premium amount of 2022 TL, which is the insurance premium amount that our private sector employers are obliged to pay for 1025,82. Our Ministry will cover 15.5 TL, which corresponds to 775,65 percent of the minimum wage, and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance will cover 5 TL, which corresponds to 250,2 percent. If the social assistance beneficiary is employed by employers, the insurance premium support to be paid by our Ministry for an insured person will be 9.307 TL per year.

Underlining that 2021 employers benefited from the support in 3.273, Minister Yanık said, "In this direction, we have provided 6.1 million TL Private Employer Insurance Premium Support in order to benefit from social assistance and bring working citizens into the labor market."

Minister Yanık noted that if employers benefit from Private Employer Insurance Premium Support, they cover the insurance premium that they are obliged to pay for each insured for 1 year.
