A change was made in the TÜBİTAK Industry Doctorate Program, which aims to train qualified human resources with doctorate degrees needed in the industry through university-industry cooperation. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank gave the new good news for Turkey's human resources from Izmir. Noting that the call-based program will now be open all year, Minister Varank said, “We increase the scholarship amount we provide to doctoral students throughout their education to a minimum of 6 thousand liras. This amount will increase up to 7 thousand 500 liras depending on the performance.” said.

In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony of Informatics Valley Izmir, Varank said the following about the change made in the TUBITAK Industry Doctorate Program, which encourages the employment of PhD researchers in the industry:

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT INCREASED

I would like to announce a new good news for Turkey's real treasure, human resources. We are improving our Industrial Doctorate Program, which enables the training of white-collar workers who are especially specialized in production, through university-industry cooperation. We increase the scholarship amount we provide to doctoral students during their education to a minimum of 6 thousand liras. This amount will increase up to 7 thousand 500 liras depending on the performance.

WILL BE OPEN ALL YEAR

In addition to the scholarship support, we also provide post-doctoral employment support, and in this way, we train staff with a doctorate who will work in the industry with this program, and we pave the way for their employment. Another improvement we have made here is that we previously invited these doctoral students to our program with the invitation. From now on, this call will be open throughout the year, our universities will come together with industrialists, they will have their employees who want to do a doctorate, and we will give them scholarships as the state. When they are employed in the industry, we will also give them some salary support. In this way, we will really increase the added value of our industry.

APPLICATION OPENED

With the announcement of Minister Varank, applications to the program were opened. Applications will be received online through the Scientist Support Programs Presidency (BİDEB) Application and Monitoring System ebideb.tubitak.gov.tr.
