OIB Delegation Examined France's New Generation Electric Vehicle Models

Organized by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the France-Renault OEM Sectoral Trade Delegation held bilateral business meetings in France, which spends 6 billion Euros on R&D annually and is the second largest export market of the Turkish automotive industry, mainly for electric vehicles. He also had the opportunity to examine the vehicle models of the future and get information.

OIB Chairman of the Board of Directors Baran Çelik: "Despite the important problems experienced due to the pandemic last year, France, where we recorded an export of 2020 billion dollars with an increase of 14 percent compared to 3,4, is our second largest market after Germany with an 11,5 percent share in our total sector exports. It is of great importance that we come together and have contacts with the French automotive industry and Renault officials, which employ 4 thousand people in 400 sector companies across the country.” Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the sole coordinator organization of the Turkish automotive industry in exports, continued its overseas delegation tours with France, with the vision of making the industry a strong part of the transformation experienced in the world. Organized by OIB, France-Renault OEM Sectoral Trade Delegation made a series of contacts in Paris in order to improve foreign trade relations with the French automotive industry, which spends 6 billion Euros annually on R&D and is one of the giants of the world automotive industry. 14 representatives of 15 Turkish automotive companies operating in many product groups from composite materials to electronic materials took part in the Franco-Renault Sectoral Trade Committee. Thanks to the visit, the OIB delegation, which held bilateral business meetings in France, the second largest export market of the Turkish automotive industry, also had the opportunity to examine and get information about the vehicle models of the future, especially electric vehicles.

OIB delegation had a bilateral meeting with Renault officials

The delegation, led by OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Celik, made important contacts during the three-day visit. Visiting the Turkish Embassy in Paris on the first day, the delegation met with Ambassador Ali Onaner and received information. The delegation had the opportunity to hold bilateral business meetings with purchasing officials at the Renault Technology Center on the second day. Under the leadership of OIB, the delegation also had the chance to get on-site information about future models, especially electric vehicles, at the Design Center. The delegation also met with the officials of the French Automobile Platform (PFA) and the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA) and consulted about the world economy and current developments in the sector.
