The 17th N Kolay Istanbul Half Marathon, organized by Spor Istanbul, a subsidiary of IMM, will be run on Sunday, March 27. In the race, which will start with the largest crowd in its history with 10 thousand 389 people, the best athletes of the world will fight for the first place in the Historic Peninsula. Due to the event, the Ayvansaray-Yenikapı coastal road will be closed to traffic in both directions.

N Kolay Istanbul Half Marathon, which will be held for the 17th time this year by Spor Istanbul under the name sponsorship of N Kolay, will start on Sunday, March 27, 2022. N Kolay Istanbul Half Marathon, which is in the Elite Label category of World Athletics, was selected as the best race of the year in the road races ranking list of 2021.

N Kolay Istanbul Half Marathon, which will be held in the fascinating atmosphere of the Historic Peninsula, provides athletes with the opportunity to complete the #FastHalf marathon with its flat track with no altitude difference. Athletes will compete in the 10.389K, 21K and skating categories at the event, which will kick off the biggest crowd in its history with a record attendance of 10 people this year.

The athletes, who come to Galata Bridge by following the coastal road, will proceed to Fatih by making a 'U' turn at the lights at the end of the bridge. The track, which continues in the opposite direction on the coastal road with the 'U' turn to be made before reaching the Golden Horn Bridge, will end at the point where it started at Yenikapı. GREAT EXCITEMENT IN THE HISTORICAL PENINSULA

The marathon, where the women's world half marathon record was broken last year, will be the scene of great competition this year as well. Daniel Mateiko (59:58) and Rodgers Kwemoi (26:58), whose men's best half marathon times are under 30 minutes, will share their trump cards in the Historic Peninsula. For women, Hellen Obiri (16:3:1), who finished the N Kolay 04th Istanbul Half Marathon in 22rd place last year, will run again in Istanbul. Turkish male elite athletes Aras Kaya, Ramazan Özdemir, Halil Yasin, Ömer Alkanoğlu, Kenan Sarı, Prisoner Value, İslam Taşçı and Süleyman Bekmezci will compete for the podium. Turkish female elite athletes Yasemin Can, Fatma Karasu, Meryem Erdogan, Nuran Satilmis, Duygu Turgut Boyan and Gizem Nur Keskin will represent Turkey in the race in the Historic Peninsula.

COAST ROAD IS CLOSED TO TRAFFIC, ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FOR BUSES

Due to the N Kolay 27th Istanbul Half Marathon event to be held on Sunday, March 2022, 17, the Ayvansaray-Yenikapı coastal road will be closed to traffic in both directions. IETT has determined alternative routes for the bus lines on the running track.

IETT has determined alternative routes for 67 different IETT lines using the roads closed due to the race. The route details were published on the iett.istanbul website.

FREE BUS TO PARTICIPANTS

On the day of the race, the athletes who will participate in the competition and the participants with accreditation cards will be able to benefit from IETT vehicles free of charge. For the runners leaving the track, there will be busses for shelter at the 10th, 12,5th, 15th and 17,5th kilometers. During the race, 2 buses will be allocated for the referees.
