President Erdoğan: "My brother Muhsin has established a throne in the hearts of our nation with his sincerity, courage and determined struggle for the national will throughout his political life, as well as his upright and uncompromising stance against the putschists."

Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, the Founding Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP), who lost his life as a result of a helicopter crash in Kahramanmaraş 13 years ago, was commemorated at the event.

A commemoration event was held at Selim Sırrı Tarcan Sports Hall for Erhan Üstündağ, Yüksel Yancı, Murat Çetinkaya and journalist İsmail Güneş, who lost their lives with Yazıcıoğlu, with the participation of BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici. At the beginning of the program, the poem of the National Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy to the Martyrs of Çanakkale, salute and the Qur'an were read.

In the program, the message sent by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was read. Expressing in his message that he remembered Yazıcıoğlu once again with mercy and longing on the 13th anniversary of his martyrdom, President Erdoğan said:

“Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu was a valiant, valiant, characterful brother who did not stray from the truth, did not hesitate to walk on the path he knew right, even if he was alone, and whose heart always beats for his country and nation. My brother Muhsin has established a throne in the hearts of our nation with his sincerity, courage and determined struggle for the national will throughout his political life, as well as his upright and uncompromising stance against the putschists."

Expressing that the nation remembers Yazıcıoğlu with gratitude despite the 13 years that have passed since his martyrdom, President Erdoğan said that he sees it as signs of love and affection towards him, and said, “I wish my Lord to treat my brother Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu with the deceased and with his mercy.” used the phrase.
