Stating that they aim to finish the urban transformation projects that have not even been started or completed for years, Metropolitan Municipality Special Projects and Transformation Department Head Hüseyin Gazi Çankaya announced that they will eliminate the grievances of the citizens of Mamak for more than 10 years:

“Last year in August, we laid the foundations of 4 houses. These residences are starting to rise right now. Our citizens also see that 500 residences have increased with this work, which was initiated in the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th stages of Mamak in Derbent, Araplar, Dutluk and Üreğil Neighborhoods. The rough constructions of some of our residences have been completed, while the ground surveys arising from the land and the constructions arising from the topography continue for some of them. Çankaya also drew attention to the fact that with the completion of the project in Mamak and the delivery of the residences, they will save 50 million TL annually from the rent payments made to the beneficiaries.

Expressing that they plan to hand over the completed residences in the region where the construction is progressing rapidly, Çankaya said, “We can say that the final delivery date of these residences is the end of 2023. First of all, if our houses are finished and ready to live at the end of this year, that is, if we can finish a thousand thousand 4 houses, we will immediately place the beneficiaries by drawing lots,” he said.
