Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) prepared free concert programs in different parts of the city and in Museum Gazhane for the month of March. Museum Gazhane, the address of the highly anticipated events, will continue its concerts in different styles and themes without slowing down. The Orchestras Directorate, affiliated to the IMM Culture Department, will host the people of Istanbul with its ensemble consisting of six different music genres. A wide range of works from tango to folk music will meet with Istanbulites at different points of the city.
HEART OF ART: MUSEUM GAZHANE
The concert series, At Dark, in which the texture of history is illuminated by candlelight, will provide unforgettable moments to the visitors of the Museum Gazhane every Wednesday. Esra Kayıkçı Trio will take the stage on March 20.00, Pentagram Acoustic on March 16, and Dilek Türkan on March 23.
Under the Ground concerts are held every Thursday at the -2nd floor of the Museum Gazhane parking lot. On its floor, it hosts the popular names of music. Two artists will meet with their fans on Thursday, March 17 at 20.00:XNUMX. Janset, one of the newest and most successful names in the Turkish rap world, will take the stage with Kamufle, which embellishes the rap form with different musical backgrounds.
In the Acoustic in the Museum program, which combines the texture of history with music, different artists come to the stage of the Museum Gazhane with their ethnic and classical music and instruments every Friday. On March 18, “Özgür Yılmaz” Instrument: Guitar and on March 25, “6 4 2 Hane” Instrument: Interdisciplinary Performance (Picture & Production) will meet with the audience. OUTSTANDING PROGRAMS ON STAGE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH
Tango, which is synonymous with passion, anger and love, will appear before the audience with its repertoire of tango music composed by local and foreign composers of the İBB Chamber Music Ensemble. IMM Band, which creates a feast both musically and visually, will present its performances prepared with the theme of "Wind Band" to the taste of art lovers.
“ZEKİ MUREN WITH A TALE TASTE”
One of the interesting themes of the calendar is the “Zeki Müren in the Taste of a Tale” concert by the İBB Turkish Classical Music Ensemble. Known as Turkey's “Sun of Art”, Zeki Müren will be remembered with songs identified with him. In the concert, Zeki Müren's niece Özlem Güven will also narrate her memories with her uncle in a fairy-tale style.
AŞIK VEYSEL WILL BE REMEMBERED
Another remarkable event is the 'Aşık Veysel Folk Songs' concert by the İBB Turkish Folk Music Ensemble. The ensemble, which won great acclaim with its qualified performances and distinguished repertoire, will commemorate the great poet Aşık Veysel, who was raised in Anatolian lands, on the 49th anniversary of his death, with his songs that are engraved in the memories.
ABBA LEGEND CONTINUES
Istanbul's 32-year-old orchestra, IMM City Orchestra, is on stage with the ABBA Special Program. The orchestra will perform the popular songs of ABBA, which left their mark on an era.
