Finland's rail operator VR is between Helsinki and St. announced that freight transport services between St. Petersburg will resume. The Finnish rail operator took this decision less than a week after Russia stopped the said services due to its operation in Ukraine.

Finland's railway operator VR officials, the capital Helsinki and Russia's St. He said that they had previously stopped freight transport services between the city of St. Petersburg due to the sanctions imposed by the UK on the Russian State Railways company (RJD).

Finnish officials added that they decided to return to freight transport services on this line starting today, after they realized that the British sanctions had no effect on the agreements made by VR.

VR announced on March 27 that it had decided to stop the passage of freight wagons from Russia.

On March 28, the Finnish railway operator stopped passenger services made by Allegro trains between Finland and Russia.
