EAQG (European Aerospace Quality Group) is a collaboration organization representing Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the aerospace industry in Europe and EAQG is the European sector of IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) providing Aerospace and Defense products and services is a joint European global organization of companies. It was established with the aim of realizing initiatives that provide significant improvements in quality and reduction in costs by establishing and maintaining dynamic collaborations based on trust between International Aerospace companies.
Turkey was included in the global aviation quality processes
With the National Aviation Industry Committee (MIHENK), which was formed under the leadership of SAHA Istanbul with the participation of giant companies that make up Turkey's aviation industry, Turkey became the 13th country to complete the integration of the European Aviation Quality Group (EAQG). Thus, Turkey became a part of the institution that manages the aviation industry and supervises the quality processes in the world, and with this development, the way for our national companies to issue AS 9100 certificate was opened. The Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) was integrated into the European Civil Aviation Quality system through the SAHA MİHENK structuring established and became accredited for our national companies to issue AS/9100 series qualification certificates.
With the studies carried out in the field of defense and aerospace in our country in recent years, these sectors have entered a rapid growth trend and will continue to grow in the coming period. In order for the industry to keep up with these developments, it became necessary to take part in international aviation quality processes and to develop the technical and qualification infrastructures of our companies.
Contributions to the National Technology Move do not slow down.
National solutions in aviation quality certification
Currently, the defense and aviation sector of our country meets the need for certification according to the International Quality Management System Standard for AS / EN 9100 aviation, space and defense industry by foreign companies.
Pointing out that the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) should obtain the authority to accredit domestic companies from the International Aviation Quality Group (IAQG) in order to meet this need of the defense and aviation industry with domestic companies and to prevent outflow of funds abroad, İlhami Keleş concluded:
“On the one hand, creating the necessary form requirement for TÜRKAK to obtain this authorization, and on the other hand, this committee, which was formed to be a part of the structures that manage the aviation industry abroad and supervise the quality processes, will make a great contribution to the sector. In the upcoming process, MİHENK will show expansion capability according to the need. "
European Aviation and Space Quality Group Term Meeting Held

SAHA Istanbul became a part of the Testing Committee and EAQG. With the EAQG end-of-term meeting, steps have been taken for SAHA Istanbul to become an affiliate Member of EAQG and to become one of the decision makers in the field of aviation by voting.
SAHA ISTANBUL MİHENK (TR CBMC ) OP Assessor trainings were successfully completed in Istanbul
SAHA İSTANBUL MİHENK (TR CBMC – Turkish Certification Body Management Committee) OP Assessor trainings, which has undertaken the task of establishing the Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) structure in Turkey and ensuring compliance with the 9104 series standards of National Accreditation Bodies (NAB) and Accredited Certification Bodies (CB). It was successfully completed in Istanbul on 14-15-16 March 2022.
