DFDS / primeRail is further enhancing the company's intermodal operations by launching a new rail service from Sete to Cologne. The company plans to organize 3 round trips in the near future. DFDS / primeRail will provide DFDS customers with an alternative route from Turkey to Cologne and a new continental route from Spain and France.
The line will start in Sete and lay out DFDS' strategy to make Sete a transportation hub. DFDS will also launch a new line from Sete to Calais, with a bid to connect Turkey to the UK.
PrimeRail Gmbh CEO Patrick Zilles said about the new line: “The new rail service of DFDS Mediterranean Business Unit will offer DFDS' customers in Turkey an alternative solution for transportation from Turkey to Cologne. We are also planning to open a new line from Sete to Calais and offer a new solution to connect Turkey with the UK.”
